Drinking SkepticallyLast year's special NECSS Drinking Skeptically was so successful (almost 100 people showed up) that we'll be doing it again this year! Come make friends with both conference goers and local skeptics, and you just might run into a few NECSS presenters as well. This special Drinking Skeptically will take place the Friday evening before the conference. NECSS registration is not required to attend; this event is free and open to the public. We will have a space reserved on the FIRST floor and will be free to "take over" the remainder of the bar if need be... WHEN: Friday April 16th, 8pm WHERE: Dewey's Flatiron - 210 5th Avenue New York, NY What is Drinking Skeptically? Drinking Skeptically is an informal event designed to promote fellowship and networking among skeptics, critical-thinkers, and like-minded individuals. Drinking Skeptically provides an opportunity for skeptics to talk and share ideas in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. We discuss the issues of the day and whatever else is on our minds. But most of all, we have fun while promoting skepticism, science, and rationality. Don't drink? Don't let that stop you from joining us! Some of the world's most famous skeptics are teetotallers and we are happy to have you! Visiting New York from out of town? Stop on by! Skeptics are a friendly bunch and there's always room for one more... |
